Emily Blunt and John Krasinski welcome baby girl

Actress Emily Blunt and John Krasinski are parents for the first time.

The former star of "The Office" announced the news Sunday via Twitter:

Wanted to let the news out directly. Emily and I are so incredibly happy to welcome our daughter Hazel into the world today! Happy bday!

Krasinski, 34, and Blunt, 30, started dating in 2008 and tied the knot two years later in Italy. They confirmed the pregnancy news last fall.

Blunt will next be seen alongside Tom Cruise in "Edge of Tomorrow" as well as "Into the Woods" with Amy Adams and Johnny Depp.

Krasinski is in talks to appear in Cameron Crowe's next film and will voice a character in the upcoming animated movie, "The Prophet."
