Edit Excel Spreadsheets on Your iPhone with Quickoffice

mobilefiles-pro.jpgThe freebie version of Quickoffice's MobileFiles [iTunes link] lets you access and transfer files between your PC and iPhone. A recently released Pro version [iTunes link] adds one pivotal capability: Excel spreadsheet editing.

Here's a rundown of MobileFiles Pro's spreadsheet features:

  • View Excel 2003 and 2007 files
  • Edit and create Excel 2003 files
  • Switch easily between sheets in a workbook
  • Change inputs and recalculate
  • Use over 125 Excel functions
  • Change fonts and cell colors
Like its freebie counterpart, MobileFiles Pro also lets you view a variety of desktop file types, including Word documents, PDFs, and Mac iWork files. Needless to say, Word editing is in the works, at which point the iPhone will take a pretty major step forward in its evolution as a smartphone.

What do you think? Worth the $9.99 price of admission? Personally, I'll hold out for the Word features, as I use that program way more than Excel. [via Webware]
