Drop.io Brings Large File Attachments to Yahoo Mail Users
In much the same way that the YouSendIt plug-in for Outlook lets users send files normally too large for e-mail, drop.io's Attach Large Files is now available to Yahoo Mail users.
Specifically, when you compose a new message in Yahoo and want to attach a file (anything up to 100MB), just click the new Attach Large Files option in the Applications box. Here's a short video that gives you the full scoop:
As you can see, the implementation is very slick -- I especially like the embedded previews and the option to review previously sent attachments.
In the case the name drop.io doesn't ring a bell, it's a file-sharing and collaboration service we've covered many times in the past. And it just keeps getting better with new and innovative additions -- like this one. If you haven't checked it out, you're long overdue.
