Dolly Is Jolly About Jessica's Flub

Dolly Parton had a kind message for Jessica Simpson following her flawed rendition of "9 to 5" at the Kennedy Center Honors taping on Sunday.

"Jessica is so great that one day they will probably honor her!" the country star told "Inside Edition."

Parton was honored at the White House gala along with Steven Spielberg, Smokey Robinson, composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and conductor Zubin Mehta.

When Simpson took to the stage for a tribute rendition of Parton's hit she stood awkwardly, flubbed the words, said something about being "so nervous," and then rushed off stage right. The singer apparently cried after the mishap that left the crowd silent.

"If I were fortunate to be asked to perform for her I would probably forget my wig! Anyway, she can come over to my house and we will sing it together sometime," Parton said.
