Does Outsourcing Threaten Sales Jobs?
It occurred to me today that the "sales is a science" mindset that discussed in today's earlier post "Is Sales an Art or a Science" definitely leads towards thinking that it might be possible, even beneficial, to outsource the sales function.
This video points out that many companies use the threat of outsourcing as a way to manipulate employee behavior. This is valuable information for sales professionals to have, because you might be subjected to this kind of manipulation, if sales outsourcing actually becomes popular.
By the way, this guy (Despair, Inc.) is an extremely clever satirist who creates videos that treat typical management BS as if it were a "best practice" rather than dysfunctional behaviors. Brilliant stuff.
