Do You Use Your iPhone for Business Purposes? (You're Not Supposed To.)

Oh, that frisky Apple. According to The Register, an iPhone customer in Ireland tried to claim his new purchase as a business expense, but Apple wouldn't cough up a receipt for the European VAT tax, citing the iPhone as a consumer device and therefore ineligible for business deductions.

That's kind of odd, don't you think? The app store, for example, has a Business category with 85 pages of apps. How many is that? Beats me -- I can't count that high. And then there's the pesky problem that the iPhone fully supports Microsoft Exchange Server -- better, I'd argue, than even Windows Mobile.
