Do New Hampshire's Kids Know Best?

NASHUA, N.H. -- Forget about Zogby and American Research Group. Mitt Romney is heartened by what the little guys are saying about who's going to win today's New Hampshire primary.
"The kids' poll, which has been an excellent predictor for three successive elections, came out with a very strong lead for me," Romney told reporters outside a voting precinct here. "So at this stage, I'm feeling awfully darned good."
Romney also cited the poll, in which New Hampshire's schoolchildren vote for their favorite candidate, at a campaign rally last night. He said that it has been very accurate in predicting the results of past elections.
Romney's press secretary told CBS News that the kids' poll has been a good predictor in past elections because children most often vote for who their parents are going to support in the primary.
But Romney is still working on the grownups this morning. As he arrived at a Nashua precinct, the former Massachusetts governor was met by a small group of supporters who chanted, "We love Mitt!" Not far away, a pack of even more boisterous McCainiacs chanted, "A hundred feet," arguing that Romney supporters holding up signs were standing too close to the elementary school.
