Digital Playground porn site hacked
(CBS News) A new hacking group called The Consortium has hit the scene and their first take down is the porn site Digital Playground.
Patrons of the website should be mindful of the potential for identity theft. According to ZDNET, the hackers stole data from 40,000 accounts, such as credit card numbers, names, card code verification (CCV) and expiration dates. The Consortium also seized the email addresses, usernames and passwords of 72,000 users.
Armed with that information alone, a thief could potentially commit online credit card fraud. Digital Playground temporarily shut down on March 5. Customers will not be billed during the outage. There's no update on when the site will come back up.
