Did Swedish Princess Meet Her Prince Charming in New York?
NEW YORK (CBS) Sweden's Princess Madeleine , who fled to New York last summer after breaking off her engagement to a Swedish lawyer, may have found true love after all.
The 27-year-old blonde princess, the younger daughter of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden , is reportedly dating New York financier Christopher O'Neill.
The princess and the 36-year-old millionaire, who lives in the East Village, have been photographed about town together and have been linked in published reports in both New York and Stockholm.
Madeleine broke off her engagement and ended an eight-year relationship with Jonas Bergstrom, after he was linked romantically to a 21-year-old Norwegian athlete. Unable to remain in Stockholm, where preparations were under way for her older sister's royal wedding on June 19, Madeleine escaped to the U.S.
Madeleine is no stranger to New York . She worked at the UNICEF headquarters here in 2006 and took part that same year in some programs for women in the Bronx.
