(CBS/KMOX) ST. LOUIS - This is a story about diamonds - the baseball kind, and the sparkling kind.

An usher at Busch Stadium in St. Louis says he found something glittering while walking back to his car after Game Six of the World Series between the Cardinals and Rangers last month. "I noticed something on the ground. It didn't look like a typical piece of trash, so I picked it up. Turns out it was a diamond ring."

Usher Tom Saito tells CBS affiliate KMOX says he found the ring by a parking lot south of the Stadium, near Kilroy's bar. He says he's taken the ring to several jewelry stores to assess its value, and they've verified it is indeed a genuine diamond.

He wants to return the ring to its rightful owner.

Now that would be a web gem.
