Detroit police officers arrested for alleged robberies in uniform, report says
(CBS) DETROIT - Two Detroit police officers have been arrested in connection with armed robberies allegedly by men in police uniforms, according to CBS Detroit.
The station reports one victim was allegedly pistol-whipped and robbed at gunpoint at a gas station, while another victim reported being pulled over, then robbed, in both instances by men dressed as police officers.
A sergeant with 20 years of experience was arrested over the weekend in connection to one of the crimes, and more details were to be released at a news conference Monday afternoon, reports the Detroit Free Press.
Names of the police officers involved or the alleged victims have not been released.
