Death Cab for Cutie ushers in 2013 with Spotify's most viral song

Music listeners were getting into the 2013 spirit last week, listening to songs that helped ring in the new year. Death Cab for Cutie's 2003 song, "The New Year," topped Spotify's Top 10 most viral tracks in the U.S. from Monday, Dec. 31, to Sunday, Jan. 6. In the U.K., Abba's "Happy New Year" was the most viral song on Spotify in the same period.
