Deadly Oil Well Explosion

An oil well exploded Wednesday, killing six people and injuring six others, authorities said.

Tela Mange, a spokeswoman for the Department of Public Safety, said the cause of the accident was under investigation. The well was not on fire.

Buffalo, a central Texas town of about 2,000 people, is 100 miles southeast of Dallas or 65 miles east of Waco.
