Daniel Craig dresses in drag for International Women's Day

(CBS) Daniel Craig has put himself in a woman's shoes - literally - in a new video in honor of International Women's Day.

The James Bond actor appears in drag in the clip, which discusses the disparities between women and men.

The video was directed by Sam Taylor-Wood ("Nowhere Boy") and is narrated by actress Judi Dench, reprising her role as M from the Bond films.

M notes Bond's "fondness for women" but asks if the spy has "ever considered what it might like to be one."

A silent Craig reappears on camera in drag and strikes a seemingly confident pose. But as M rattles off statistics on sexual violence, education and pay inequality, he pulls off the wig and earrings. He then walks away as she asks, "So, are we equals?"

The video is part of the EQUALS project, a charity led by singer Annie Lenox. International Women's Day is March 8.
