Dad live streams wife giving birth on Facebook -- doesn't tell her
CARMICHAEL, Calif. -- A Carmichael man live-streamed the birth of his child on Facebook -- and he said his wife didn’t know at the time.
CBS Sacramento spoke to the new father Tuesday morning.
“She kind of didn’t know about the live aspect, and I hinted to her that my cousin said ‘keep pushing’ and from that point on I figured that she knew she was on live ‘cause I’m always doing something live,” said Kali Kanongata’a on the phone.
Kanongata’a said he was sick of seeing bad news and negative comments on Facebook, so he wanted to share the special moment with everyone.
His wife Sarah said she definitely didn’t realize it at the time.
She said, she did however, realize after.
The Facebook video has now been viewed more than 100,000 times.
Sarah gave birth to a healthy eight-pound baby boy and she seems to have a good sense of humor about the whole thing.
