'Cuse's Spotwood Out For Season


Syracuse junior wide receiver-kick returner Quinton Spotwood will miss the remainder of the season after tearing a ligament in his left knee, it was announced Monday.

Spotwood was injured in the first half of No. 23 Syracuse's 63-21 victory against Cincinnati on Saturday.

He had four punt returns for touchdowns and 41 receptions for 797 yards and eight more TDs last season. This year he had just 15 catches for 150 yards, gained just 30 yards on eight punt returns and had not scored.

Syracuse (3-2) plays Boston College on Saturday.
