Cubs Sign Reliever Terry Adams
Reliever Terry Adams, who had filed for salary arbitration, and the Chicago Cubs agreed Friday on a one-year contract.
Adams, 25, was 7-7 with a 4.33 ERA in 63 relief outings for the Cubs last season.

Adams had asked for $895,000 and the Cubs offered $615,000. He made $295,000 last season.
Terms of the contract with Adams were not disclosed.
In 224 major league relief appearances, the right-hander has a 13-23 record with 24 saves and a 4.03 ERA.
The Cubs' lone unsigned arbitration-eligible player is pitcher Matt Karchner.
