Create and Edit Documents on Your Smartphone with Documents To Go 3.0
It kind of boggles my mind that the Windows Mobile operating system -- which can be found on popular smartphones like the Motorola Q and Samsung BlackJack -- doesn't let you create or edit Office documents. You can view them, but that's it. DataViz's Documents To Go 3.0 for Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone & 6 Standard (whew, there's a name that just rolls off the tongue) fills the gap, allowing you to view, edit, and create Office files (including the 2007 versions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
DTG 3.0 also includes a PDF viewer and a clever "Zip and Send" feature, which compresses and e-mails documents instantaneously. (The program can open Zip-compressed files as well.) The program sells for $29.95, but there's a 30-day trial version available for download so you can check it out. As a longtime fan of the Palm version of Documents To Go, I highly recommend doing so.
