Courteney Cox engaged to Johnny McDaid

Courteney Cox is getting ready for a trip down the aisle.

The 50-year-old actress plans to marry 37-year-old Snow Patrol band member Johnny McDaid, revealing the happy news on Twitter:

They've been dating for about six months.

Cox married actor David Arquette in 1999. The couple, who separated in 2010, share custody of their 10-year-old daughter, Coco. Their divorce became final last year.

Cox will return for the sixth and final season of her show "Cougar Town" in 2015.
