Cops: Man sought in connection with Ohio double murder

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio -- Police are seeking a man wanted for allegedly stealing a car from a home where two women were found dead, according to CBS affiliate WBNS and Knox County, Ohio prosecutors.

The Knox County Sheriff's office says deputies were dispatched to the Mount Vernon home just before 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say Sandra Stelk's daughter called 911 after she entered the home. They say she told dispatchers that the 50-year-old Stelk was lying on her bedroom floor "with blood all over her."

Officers then found the bodies of Stelk and 23-year-old Jaime Barber.

Police are trying to locate Stelk's son, 31-year-old Travis Bonham, of Mount Vernon. Police say Barber is believed to have been in a relationship with Bonham, and they're calling him a person of interest in the murders.

Bonham was last seen leaving the home Wednesday morning, reports the Columbus Dispatch.

Knox County Sheriff David Shaffer declined to say how the two women died.

Prosecutors have filed a criminal complaint against Bonham alleging he stole a black Dodge Charger from the home, Knox County prosecutor Chip McConville told 48 Hours' Crimesider.

On Wednesday night, the Ohio State Highway Patrol located the Charger in Columbus - the car belonged to David Stelk, Sandra Stelk's husband and owner of the home where the bodies were found, reports the Dispatch.

However, officials reportedly believe Bonham has switched to a red Ford Mustang with Michigan plates DGW6620.

Bonham is described as a white male, 6'2", with hazel eyes, medium build with many tattoos, including on the face, neck and arms. Family members believe he is armed and dangerous.

Anyone who sees Bonham is warned not to approach him, and to call 911.
