Cops: Jailed man's iPod contains videos of attacks on women

DALLAS – Dallas police say evidence found on an iPod belonging to a 27-year-old man jailed for alleged attacks on three women links him to as many as 10 additional assaults.

Jesus Madrid-Dubon is being held on two counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of aggravated kidnapping.

He was arrested last week in connection with the rape at gunpoint of a 16-year-old girl.

Deputy Police Chief Gil Garza said Thursday that police have located an iPod at the home of Madrid-Dubon’s mother that contains videos of attacks on about 10 women.

“The evidence in these videos indicates we may possibly have more victims, which is why we’re here today,” said Deputy Chief Gilberto Garza at a news conference, as reported by CBS DFW. “We’re asking the media to help broadcast this information to encourage other victims to come forward.”

Authorities say Madrid-Dubon threatened one woman with a taser and pulled a kitchen knife on another victim. He met the women on social media, according to investigators.

One of those women reported a rape to Dallas police in August.

Madrid-Dubon is being held on $200,000 bail. Jail records say he declined an attorney.

Anyone with information concerning the investigation or who may be a victim is encouraged to call Dallas police at (214) 790-1359.
