Confederate flag dispute led Va. man to point gun at school bus, police say
(CBS/AP) VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Police arrested a Virginia man Monday after he allegedly pointed a gun at a school bus during what police say was a dispute with the children over the Confederate flag displayed in the man's pick-up truck.
Joshua P. Dalton, 18, faces two misdemeanor counts of brandishing a firearm. The woman traveling with him was not charged, reports CBS affiliate WTKR.
Virginia Beach police say the incident occurred Monday afternoon as students from Pembroke Elementary were getting off the bus at a bus stop. Two students allegedly told the bus driver that a person behind the bus pointed a gun at them. The bus driver then took the students back to the school and notified police.
