Have you ever wished that Colin Cowie, the master event designer who regularly appears on The Early Show, could help plan your wedding? Well, on Tuesday, four couples were in New York to have that dream come true. They were selected to have an "Instant Marriage," with a Colin-designed wedding package.
The following day, Sarah Sarvis and Federico Milla, one of the newlywed couples, received a special wedding gift, presented by Cowie and by Prudence Solomon of the South African Tourism Board: a honeymoon trip to South Africa, which is Cowie's homeland.
The couples all were married in a storefront window on 57th Street in New York throughout the day Tuesday. Here are examples of three wedding tables Cowie suggests for different types of weddings:
- Autumn colors, perfect for a dinner party in the fall, with topaz-colored beaded placemats and golden-colored plates and accented glasses. The votive candles and the napkin rings all coordinate, and everything was designed by Cowie for JC Penney.
- "Wedding in a Box," including an organza, beaded overlay that can be placed on top of the white tablecloth at your reception hall. Also included is a silver vase, 10 votive candles and 10 eggplant napkins - and the flowers!! When you buy the "Wedding in a Box" it can be sent directly to your caterer and set up at your wedding.
- Black and white table, with deep red calla lilies in clear, square vases.
