Cloudlet Adds Tag Clouds to Google Searches
Every once in a while I'll run across something so simple yet powerful that I wonder how I ever managed to get along without it. Case in point: Cloudlet is Firefox plug-in that adds a tag cloud to Google and Yahoo searches.
Using Cloudlet, you can refine your search by clicking in the tag cloud. In addition, a site cloud and a net cloud make it easy to go from a million hits to a precise handful in just a few clicks. Switch to the net cloud to only reveal .org pages, for example, then add one or two tags to the search for a set of results so refined, you'll feel under-dressed. See it in action by watching the Cloudlet introductory video.
Cloudlet is still in beta. There's no support for Live Search, and it doesn't yet work in Firefox 3.1. But even in its current form, it has become a natural part of my web search experience. [via Techcrunch]
