Clinton's "Surprise" Guest

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Hillary Clinton attended a fund-raiser at George Washington University this evening where she was "surprised" by comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, live via satellite.
Clinton stood on the stage inside the large auditorium before a screen with her campaign slogan "Solutions for America" being projected. Midway through her standard fund-raiser stump speech, DeGeneres appeared on the screen to shrieking cheers and loud applause from the crowd.
"Can you hear us?" asked DeGeneres who was taping her talk show at the time. Clinton said, "I can hear you loud and clear."
The two went on to do a quick interview on a range of questions from her thoughts on glitter to the viability of her candidacy were she to lose Texas and Ohio.
The obviously scripted stunt took a sudden jerky turn when DeGeneres mentioned that Barack Obama had won 11 contests in a row and wanted to know how important a win in Ohio and Texas would be for the former First Lady. An excited Clinton said, "we're going to win Ohio and Michigan!" The problem is Clinton already won Michigan and needs to win Ohio and Texas. The gaffe when unnoticed by most in the crowd as they cheered loudly following Clinton's error. But she soon noticed her mistake and said, "Ohio and Texas!..I already won Michigan!"
DeGeneres told the audience that the exchange between she and Clinton would air on her show tomorrow, leading some on the stage to nearly collapse with excitement.
Clinton concluded her remarks by making a push for supporters to donate money to her campaign. She also pleaded with the group sign up to volunteer for her campaign's in Ohio and Michigan … er, Texas.
