Clinton Vows Michigan and Florida Fight Will Go To Convention

(CBS)

From CBS News' Fernando Suarez:

PITTSBURGH -- Hillary Clinton said today that she is ready to settle the disputed votes in Michigan and Florida, even if it has to go to the convention. "Anything short of counting the votes or giving them a revote would not apparently be satisfactory to the people of those two states," Clinton said. "If it has to go to a credentials committee, then it has to go to a credentials committee, that's what they are there for, you know, they've had to resolve credentialing and rules fights in the past and they will have to resolve this one."

Clinton seemed visibly frustrated as spoke about the ongoing battle between the Democratic Party and the two states. Both Michigan and Florida moved up their primaries against the wishes of the party, and were punished by nullifying their votes and not seating their delegates. "I don't understand how you can disenfranchise voters in two states you have to try to win," he said. "I don't think that is smart for the Democratic Party."

Clinton accused Barack Obama of actively disenfranchising voters in those states. "He doesn't want the votes to count, let's not mince words here," she said. "Senator Obama has been very, very clear, do not count those votes, or come up with some kind of resolution that disenfranchises people by taking away their right to have voted for whom they have voted for and neither of those is acceptable to Michigan and Florida voters and I wouldn't agree with that either."

We are now two weeks away from the Pennsylvania primary and over one year into this campaign. Clinton is even feeling pressure from party leaders to step aside, but it is clear that she isn't going anywhere.
