Clinton Tactic Shift: More Q & A

(CBS)
From CBS News' Fernando Suarez:

PENACOOK, N.H. -- After weeks of being harshly criticized by the media and by voters for not taking or answering tough questions, Clinton shifted today, fielding 23 questions during a two-hour campaign event.

This is a sharp contrast from her final days in Iowa when out of five events she would only take two to three questions from the crowd at the first campaign stop of the day. The Clinton campaign brushed off reporters' analysis that her newly found admiration for taking questions comes as a "lessons learned" from Iowa, where she lost by nine points to Barack Obama.

Clinton spokesman Jay Carson says his candidate plans on taking as many questions as possible, but stopped short of saying admitting this new strategy has anything to do with losing Iowa.

"The New Hampshire way is to take questions." Carson added, "She's as good at Q and A as anyone I've ever worked for."
