The 35-year-old actress is directing a love story set during the Bosnian War. Jolie is also producing and writing the screenplay for the feature film, according to published reports.

It's a lot to juggle and Eastwood has offered up some words of encouragement.

"My advice for her is to get more sleep than the actors," Eastwood told People Magazine at the "Hereafter" premiere during the Toronto International Film Festival. "And to have good management - know what you want and know what you are looking for and go after it."

Jolie's upcoming directorial debut "focuses on a Serbian man and a Bosnian woman who meet on the eve of the war and the effect the war has on their relationship," Graham King's GK Films announced.

Eastwood, who directed Jolie's 2008 film "Changeling" believes his actress pal should do well behind the camera.

"She's a very intelligent gal," says Eastwood. "I know she'll do great. I haven't discussed it with her on this particular occasion, but I know she'll be tough to stop. She has a great work ethic and she's very smart. I'm looking forward to seeing what she does."
