(CBS News) Chris Brown heard some good news this week. His new album, "Fortune," debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's album chart, with 134,000 copies sold.

Brown's fifth album comes on the heels of 2011's "F.A.M.E.," which also opened at the top of the charts.

Earlier this week, Brown thanked fans for their support on Twitter:

Last month, Brown got caught up in a bottle-throwing incident with Drake at a New York club. This week, a judge requested an audit of Brown's community service progress after a prosecutor handling his felony assault case asked to look into a possible discrepancy in the amount of work he's completed so far.
