Amid all the rumors swirling around this much-hyped NBA free agency period, one of the most intriguing scenarios involves LeBron James and Chris Bosh joining Dwyane Wade in Miami.
Bosh, who met with the Heat in Chicago Thursday, is doing his share to fuel that speculation.
On his Twitter account, Bosh posted a photo of himself with Wade.
"Just had dinner w [Wade]. Great way to end day 1 of #freeagency," Bosh writes, "although it feels like someone is missing..."
Between the two stars is an empty chair - or throne - presumably reserved for King James.
Bosh's amusing self-promotion gets almost as much attention as his impressive court skills. The 6'10" power forward has produced a number of comedic music videos - including a spoof commercial urging fans to make him an All-Star in 2008 - and has just released a documentary about his life off the court.
Some wonder if Bosh's onscreen addiction and viral self-promotion is becoming a distraction during free agency. In fact, Bosh reportedly has cameras following him as he meets with his NBA suitors. Will teams question his focus or will they shrug off the cinematic sideshow and bank millions on his basketball prowess?
Probably the latter - especially if the Heat can get LeBron to sit in that empty dinner chair and serve all three of them contracts for dessert.
