Check out some post-Olympics gymnastics (in slow-motion)
(CBS News) The Olympics are over and we're all starting to need a new sports fix right now. And while I could show you some footage of amazing gymnastics to help ease the pain, do you know what's even better? Amazing gymnastics in slow-motion! I'd recommend watching this in high-definition if possible.
The sweet slow-motion video was created by Intel who write about it:
Props go out to Leslie Mak from all of us here at The Feed for displaying some mad skills and helping to give us all our post-Olympics sports fix.All-American gymnast Leslie Mak practices her gymnastics in the Oregon State University gymnasium. This slow motion video of Leslie Mak's many movements was created for Intel's "A Momentary Lapse" to reveal the passion and intensity that goes into being a gymnast. Through slow motion we captured the details of the atmosphere and behavior around gymnastics. Watch this video and look closely at her muscles flex, the uneven bar bouncing, the deep breaths, the chalk on her hands as they hit the balance beam, and the structure of her legs as she flips off the floor.
