Channing Tatum in "Waffle House Down" spoof

Channing Tatum's latest action film, "White House Down," explodes into theaters Friday. And while it's just been released, it already has a sequel in the can -- if Jimmy Kimmel has any say in the matter, that is.

On Thursday's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," Kimmel and Tatum offered up their version of a follow-up to "White House Down," entitled "Waffle House Down." And while it may involve breakfast-style secrets, as opposed to issues of national security or, you know, the president, it's still just as dramatic as the original.

In this "trailer" above for the sequel spoof, Tatum's "White House Down" character has seen better days, and he finds himself working at a Waffle House (a restaurant conveniently with the same initials as White House). Also conveniently, he happens to be working just as the restaurant is taken hostage by breakfast rivals, IHOP. Apparently, Tatum's character has a knack for being at the right place at the wrong time. Or maybe the wrong place and the wrong time.

"I guess I picked the wrong day to serve waffles," Tatum broods dramatically. Not for us he didn't.
