Wesley Person scored 28 points and Shawn Kemp had 27, including six key free throws in the last three minutes, as the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Toronto Raptors 103-94 Thursday night.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas added 24 points and 14 rebounds for the Cavaliers. Ilgauskas had 16 points and eight rebounds in the first quarter.
Cleveland ended a three-game losing streak.
The Raptors were playing just hours after the team was sold to the owners of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs. The change in ownership didn't translate into instant success, however, as the Raptors fell to 11-38.
Doug Christie scored 26 points and added five rebounds to lead the Raptors, while Damon Stoudamire had 19points.
The Cavaliers pulled away in the fourth quarter by going on an 11-0 run that increased their lead to 16.
Toronto cut the deficit to six with 1:15 to go, but Cleveland held on for the win.
Notes: Raptors forward Marcus Camby left the game in the second quarter after spraining his right thumb. He did not return. ... The last time Cleveland played Toronto, Cavaliers guard Brevin Knight was abused by Stoudamire, who racked up 34 points and seven assists. This time, Knight kept Stoudamire's totals down, but had only seven points and nine assists himself.
