Casey Anthony Trial Update: Jury hears cops on tape telling murder suspect we know you're lying
(CBS/WKMG/AP) ORLANDO, Fla. - Jurors in the Casey Anthony trial listened Thursday to Anthony's nearly hour-long interview with detectives the day after her 2-year-old daughter was reported missing in 2008.

In the audio recording played in court, lead detective Yuri Melich of the Orange County, Fla. Sheriff's Office, and another detective, told Anthony that they knew she was lying about several things, but that she continued to claim Caylee was kidnapped by a nanny named Zenaida Gonzalez.Anthony told the detectives 2-year-old Caylee had called her a day earlier, saying "Hi, Mommy," before talking about books and shoes.
As Melich and another detective peppered her with questions, Anthony said she asked her daughter to let her talk to an adult, but that the phone went dead.
She also said during the interview that she would never be able to forgive herself, and neither would her mother, Cindy Anthony. "My mom flat out told me yesterday she will never be able to forgive me," Casey Anthony told the detectives.
Det. Melich was also called to the stand testify for a second straight day. He explained how Anthony led them around Universal Studios in Orlando, where she claimed to work, reports CBS affiliate WKMG.
"We walk into the building, she turns left, starts walking down this hallway -- about halfway down the hallway -- she stops, turns, looks at us, and says, 'I don't work here.'" Melich said, reports the station.
The state had previously called Leonard Tutora, the director of loss prevention at Universal Studios. Tutora said he confirmed for Melich that Anthony did not work at Universal Studios, but had worked for a vendor up until 2006.
Meanwhile, a defamation lawsuit filed against Anthony by a woman named Zenaida Gonzalez has been rescheduled for Feb. 13. Gonzalez claims she was harmed by being linked to the case as Caylee's possible nanny. It wasn't until opening statements in the murder that it was learned that Anthony's story had changed, with the defense telling the court that Caylee drowned in the family pool.
Anthony, 25, is charged with killing her daughter in the summer of 2008. She has pleaded not guilty. If found guilty of first-degree murder, Anthony could face the death penalty.
