The trailer packed quite the punch and gives us a glimpse of what moviegoers can expect to see when the film hits theaters on July 22.
The movie is based on Marvel's character Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans, who is presumed unfit for military service during World War II. He volunteers for a top-secret U.S research project that transforms him into Captain America, a superhero dedicated to fighting for America's ideals.
Evans, 29, isn't a stranger to superhero movies. He starred in "Fantastic Four" and "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World."
"I think Marvel is doing a lot of good things right now and it's a fun character. Even if it wasn't a comic book. I think the story of Steve Rogers is great. He's a great guy. Even if it was just a script about anybody, I would probably want to do it, " said Evans in an interview with Screen Rant. "So it wasn't necessarily about the comic itself. He's a great character. He's a great character to play. He just happens to be a comic book character."
