An RCMP spokesman said no files were shelved during the Games.

Constable Michael McLaughlin said "it's absolutely not true" that marijuana, or any other drug investigation, stopped for the Olympics.

McLaughlin said there were so many police in British Columbia during the Games, he heard stories of criminals leaving the province.
