(CBS/AP) MORENO VALLEY, Calif. - A Southern California man charged with killing his ex-girlfriend and torching her body in front of her six children has eluded capture, say police.

Riverside County prosecutors have charged 39-year-old Tyrone Levoid Harts with the Feb. 22 killing of 35-year-old Brandi Marie Morales in her Moreno Valley home. Harts is Morales' former live-in boyfriend.

Sheriff's investigators say the woman's children, ages 6 to 15, witnessed the attack, and one of the youngsters put out the flames.

Homicide investigators said in a news release Saturday that they are asking for the public's help in finding Harts, who is described as armed and dangerous.
