Lucy Liu To Become An Animated Sultry Warrior
Lucy Liu is set to embrace her inner warrior.
The 39-year-old actress will lend her voice to "Afro Samurai: Resurrection," a two-hour sequel to the animated series starring Samuel L. Jackson, Spike TV announced Thursday.
Liu will play Sio, a seductive and sadistic mastermind out to destroy Jackson's samurai.
"When we first created the character of Sio, we knew that Lucy Liu would be perfect for the role," said executive producer Leo Chu. "We thought we owed it to ourselves to at least ask her, never dreaming that she would say yes."
Liu's most recent animated outing was in this summer's "Kung Fu Panda." Other credits include "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" and TV shows such as "Ally McBeal" and "Cashmere Mafia."

Pamela Anderson & Tommy Lee Are Under The Same Roof
Pamela Anderson is shacking up with Tommy Lee again - but not like that.
The 41-year-old former "Baywatch" star is living with her ex-husband and their two sons - Dylan, 10; Brandon, 12 - in Lee's Calabasas enclave while her new Malibu mansion is under construction. Anderson says the pair, whose honeymoon video was infamously unleashed on the Internet, aren't an item again. But she isn't ruling out the possibility.
"The dream would be that all of us could really be together, but we're better friends," Anderson told The Associated Press during an interview at manager Peter Asher's house Wednesday. "We're great friends. We just live together. And we're ex-husband and wife. It's kinda silly. I don't know where that's gonna go."
Ruling Reveals ID Of Illegal Online Oscar Ticket Seller
A judge's ruling has brought the organization that hosts the Academy Awards a step closer to discovering who may have bought tickets to this year's show online.
An attorney for the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences said Wednesday that the organization has learned the identity of a person who posted an ad on Craigslist, claiming to have two tickets available for this year's show.
The disclosure to the Academy comes a day after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge William Fahey ordered Craigslist, an online site where people can post free ads to sell everything from couches to concert tickets, had to disclose the identity of the person who posted the ad in February offering the tickets for $2,500 each.
The poster was identified only as "Daniel."
No one showed up on Craigslist's behalf at Tuesday's hearing.
The Academy sued several people and companies in March, accusing them of selling or brokering Oscar tickets. In court documents, it states that invitees to the Academy Awards show, which is held annually in Hollywood, are explicitly told they cannot sell or give their tickets away.
According to court documents, the Academy considers anyone who used someone else's Oscar's ticket to be a trespasser at the ceremony.

"In light of the fact that many pictures have surfaced in print and on the Internet, which has caused myself and my family great embarrassment, I felt it necessary to at least acknowledge publicly that, yes, indeed my wife and I have separated and I will not be commenting any further."
