Buzz Briefs: Lindsay, Amy And Eva
Is Lindsay Engaged?
Rumors are circulating that Lindsay Lohan is engaged to pro snowboarder Riley Giles, the love interest she found in a Sundance, Utah, rehab center. Lindsay's rep denies the report to The Insider. According to OK! magazine, Giles' ex-fiance is pretty annoyed, although Giles is quoted elsewhere saying that they weren't really engaged anyway.
Meanwhile, Lohan is dodging paparazzi all over Los Angeles, where she returned after checking out of rehab on Oct. 5 to rehearse a part in a film biopic about tango king Carlos Gardel. She reportedly plans to return to the calmer scene in Utah - and, maybe, to Giles -- as soon as she's finished filming.

Amy Winehouse Released After Drug Arrest
Winehouse and her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, were released around 7 a.m. Friday after paying $715 each in fines, prosecutor Lars Morten Lothe said. A third person, also released, was fined $492, he said.
The three were arrested shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday at a hotel in Bergen in southwestern Norway, where Winehouse is on a European tour, after a tip to the police.
"They were found with 7 grams (1/4 ounce) of marijuana," Lothe said.

Ted Nugent's A Loser
Ted Nugent has lost his appeal of a lawsuit filed against a Michigan music festival that cancelled one of his concerts. Officials with Muskegon Summer Celebration cancelled the 2003 concert after learning that the rock star had used a racial slur during a radio interview. Nugent and his band sued the festival for libel, slander, breach of contract and other allegations. Earlier, the trial judge dismissed all charges, except for breach of contract. A jury awarded Nugent $100,000, which the judge reduced to $80,000. Nugent was appealing the reduced damage award and the dismissal of his other claims.

T.I.'s Lawyer Asks For Bond, Home Confinement
T.I.'s lawyers asked a federal judge Friday to release the rapper on $2.2 million bond and allow him to have monitored home confinement while he awaits trial on weapons charges.
Defense attorney Ed Garland proposed putting a person in T.I.'s home 24 hours a day to monitor activities there.
T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, would also have to submit to electronic monitoring. Only those on a pre-approved list of visitors would be able to enter the home. Harris would surrender his passport and his right to drive, and would submit to random searches of the home and random drug screening.
Prosecutors countered that because of Harris' criminal history and because he was arrested while allegedly trying to buy machine guns, he poses a flight risk and danger to the community.

Michael Douglas' grown son, Cameron, has been ordered to stand trial on cocaine possession charges.
At a pretrial hearing Thursday, Superior Court Judge Joseph Lodge upheld charges of felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of a hypodermic needle filed against Cameron Morrell Douglas, 28, and a companion, Christopher Lane, 30.
Lodge added a charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance for Douglas, based on the testimony of a Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Deputy.
Both men are scheduled for arraignment Nov. 16.
The dog drama started after DeGeneres adopted a pooch named Iggy from an agency, then decided she couldn't keep him because he didn't get along with her cats. She gave Iggy to her hairdresser, but the agency took the dog away, saying DeGeneres violated her contract by placing the dog in a new home. At a taping of the show Wednesday, DeGeneres told the audience she wouldn't talk about the matter again unless the dog was returned to her hairdresser.

Howard K. Stern filed court papers in Los Angeles Superior Court Thursday seeking to make Anna Nicole Smith's daughter the sole heir of the late model's estate.
Smith's will was drafted long before the birth of her daughter, Dannielynn, last year. Smith died before she could update her will to include her daughter.
According to court documents, Stern tried to clarify Smith's intentions.
Dannielynn should be the sole beneficiary under the correct reading of Smith's will, Stern claims, even if the child's name is not mentioned. He also asks a judge to establish a trust for Dannielynn.

Dannielynn lives with her father, Larry Birkhead, who was established as her parent through DNA testing that settled a legal dispute with Stern.
