Buzz Briefs: Jenna Bush, Dannielynn

Jenna Bush Going To Get Hitched In May

The President's daughter, Jenna, and her fiancé Henry Hager will marry
on May 10, according to People magazine.

The wedding will be held at the president's 1,600-acre ranch in Crawford, Texas, one source told the magazine.

A spokeswoman for first lady Laura Bush said she could not confirm the report and had no comment on it.

"It's going to be a small wedding," the source told People, adding Jenna had already selected her bridesmaids. "She's very excited. They make a great couple."

The 26-year-old became engaged in August to Hager, 29, who comes from a prominent Republican family and worked on the president's re-election campaign.

Dannielynn's Eye Troubles Suspected To Be Genetic, Not Caused From Anna's Meds

2The adorable Dannielynn Birkhead is now wearing a patch to correct her eye condition, otherwise known as being "crossed eyed."

"She has strabismus, which is a turning in of one of her eyes, and it's something that we've been looking out for for a while," her father Larry Birkhead told Entertainment Tonight's Mark Steines. "I've been taking her to the doctors and ... Anna had taken Dannielynn to the doctor [in the Bahamas] to see about it when she was just a few months old."

Birkhead told The Insider that the doctors said that the condition is most likely genetic and not caused from Anna Nicole's medications.

If her eye doesn't get stronger by wearing an eye patch, then the next resort will have to be surgery.

Mary J. Blige To Sing On ABC Soap Opera

3Mary J. Blige is returning to "One Life to Live.''

The Grammy-winning singer taped another appearance Thursday on the ABC soap opera. She last visited the fictional town of Llanview in July 2006 to perform hits from her multi-platinum album "The Breakthrough."

For her second cameo, she'll be a surprise guest at a Sweet Sixteen birthday party for Starr Manning (played by Kristen Alderson), ABC said. The episodes are set to air Feb. 15 and Feb. 18.

Accompanied by her band, Blige, 37, will sing "Just Fine," the Grammy-nominated single from her new album, "Growing Pains," as well as another track called "Hurt Again."

"It's absolutely amazing to be integrated into a soap opera I've watched since I was a little girl," Blige said in a statement. "I am beyond thrilled to be welcomed back again."

Nelly Furtado, Chris Botti, Erykah Badu, Timbaland and Keri Hilson have also performed on the show.

Jack Nicholson Lucky On Screen, Not Lucky In Love

4Jack Nicholson, the legendary ladies' man, says he'd like to fall in love again.

"I never minded being a fool for love," the 70-year-old Oscar winner tells AARP The Magazine. "It's nice to have a place to be foolish. Ask any old friend of mine, they'll say, 'Jack's pretty smart, but in this area the man is beyond the pale. Don't ask him anything about love. Or if you ask him, don't listen to him."'

Nicholson says getting older has changed the way he woos women.

"I can't hit on a girl in public like I used to," he says. "I never thought words like 'undignified' would come into my own reflections on myself, but I can't do it anymore."

Nicholson, whose past flames include Anjelica Huston and Lara Flynn Boyle, explains: "I feel uncomfortable. I don't think anybody cares what I do in these areas, but it feels a little bit off to me."

He says he'd date a woman close to his age or younger.

"In fact, every year I like to cover a very broad spectrum," he says. "But you know? I've been single for quite a long time. I've been invested in my teenage children" with ex-girlfriend Rebecca Broussard. (He was married to Sandra Knight in the 1960s.)

The March/April issue of the magazine will be available the week of Jan. 24.

Rolling Stones Sign Deal With Universal

5The Rolling Stones announced Thursday they have signed a deal to release the soundtrack to their Martin Scorsese-directed concert film through Universal Music Group.

The move does not bode well for EMI Group, the label that has been the Stones' home for 16 years, raising the possibility that the band might follow Radiohead and Paul McCartney and leave the embattled record company.

"The band are looking forward to working with Universal Music and are excited about this new venture," the Rolling Stones said in a statement.

In a one-album deal, Universal Music's labels around the world will release the "Shine a Light" soundtrack in March. The album will be released in Britain by Polydor Records.

The film, which is distributed by Paramount in the U.S. and 20th Century Fox in Britain, will open the Berlin International Film Festival on Feb. 7. It is expected to be released in theaters in April.

Tim McGraw And Dwight Yoakam To Appear In Romantic Comedy

Tim McGraw and Dwight Yoakam have never sung together, but they'll act together in the romantic comedy "Four Christmases."

McGraw began filming this week in Los Angeles, his spokeswoman said Wednesday.

Set for release during the holiday season, the movie stars Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn as a couple who, after years of avoiding their families during the holidays, are forced to visit all four of their divorced parents' homes on Christmas Day.

McGraw, 40, plays a brother of Vaughn's character.

Yoakam has a supporting role in the movie, along with Robert Duvall, Sissy Spacek, Mary Steenburgen, Jon Favreau and Kristen Chenoweth.

Seth Gordon will direct for New Line Cinema and Spyglass Entertainment Group.

This will be McGraw's fifth movie project. His screen credits also include "Black Cloud," "Friday Night Lights," "Flicka" and "The Kingdom."

Yoakam, 51, has been in several movies, including "Red Rock West," "Sling Blade," "The Newton Boys" and "Panic Room."

Four paparazzi have been arrested for reckless driving while chasing Britney Spears' car in the San Fernando Valley.

Los Angeles police Lt. Mario Munoz said officers observed several cars following a white Mercedes-Benz around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in Mission Hills.

The cars were following Spears' car too closely and traveling at unsafe speed. They also made several unsafe lane changes, authorities said.

Production Company Co-Founded By Madonna Settles Suit

A production company co-founded by Madonna settled a lawsuit with a competing firm over plans to make a movie about prisoner abuse.

The settlement Wednesday allows Maverick Films to move forward with its film depicting a Stanford University psychology professor's experiment using a simulated prison setting to study obedience in humans.

Beverly Hills-based Inferno Distribution agreed to drop a countersuit against Maverick.

The settlement did not involve the exchange of money, Inferno lawyer Jonathan M. Levitan said.

"I think both sides are happy to resolve the case outside of litigation," Maverick attorney Gary S. Raskin said.

Maverick sued Inferno in October 2006, claiming the firm unfairly represented itself to gain access to confidential information about a movie Maverick was making called "The Stanford Prison Experiment."

Inferno countersued in December 2006, alleging slander, unfair competition and interference with contractual relations.

The countersuit said the company was making an English-language version of a German movie that examined the psychological effects of prison.

Maverick Films was founded by Madonna and Maverick Records executive Guy Oseary in 2001. Madonna no longer owns an interest in Maverick Films.

Blink-182 Drummer Sues Rockstar Beverages

Former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker sued the Rockstar energy drink company on Wednesday for allegedly wrongfully using his picture.

Barker's Superior Court lawsuit claims invasion of privacy, unfair competition, and misappropriating his likeness to promote the product.

The lawsuit said the Rockstar Web site published a photo of Barker "holding a can of one of Rockstar's beverages, and identifying him and his endorsement by name" without his consent.

Barker is "a prominent figure in the rock music world," according to the lawsuit, and is seeking unspecified punitive and statutory damages.

Calls for comment to the Rockstar Beverage Corp. were not immediately returned Wednesday afternoon.

Matthew McConaughey, Kate Hudson Among SAG Awards Presenters

Dad-to-be Matthew McConaughey and his two-time co-star Kate Hudson are among those set to present trophies at next week's Screen Actors Guild Awards.

SAG officials said Wednesday that McConaughey and Hudson will be joined at the Jan. 27 awards ceremony by Denis Leary and Bruce Reynolds, who are set to present the guild's 44th life achievement award to Charles Durning. Reynolds is a longtime friend and collaborator of the 84-year-old character actor, who co-stars with Leary on the FX show "Rescue Me."

McConaughey, who announced Tuesday that he is expecting a baby with his girlfriend, Camila Alves, has shared the screen with Hudson twice, in 2003's "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" and the upcoming romantic comedy "Fool's Gold."

Previously announced presenters include Zac Efron, Emile Hirsch and Vanessa Williams. The 14th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards are set to be broadcast live on TNT and TBS from the Shrine Auditorium.

Faith Hill Recovers After Knee Surgery

Faith Hill hasn't wasted time getting back to work following knee surgery last week.

Hill, a 40-year-old Star, Miss. native, has been recuperating at her home in Nashville, Tenn., and keeping busy with her music engagements, the country star's publicist, Paul Freundlich, told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

The operation was "the result of an old knee injury suffered while playing softball in high school and normal wear and tear over the years," Freundlich said in an e-mail. He didn't say which knee had been repaired.

Afterward, Hill resumed recording her upcoming Christmas album, Freundlich said. She has also been preparing to perform at the Feb. 8 tribute to Aretha Franklin at the MusiCares Person of the Year event in Los Angeles.

MusiCares is a Recording Academy charity that supports the arts community and music education programs.

"Who has time to slow down?" Hill said in a statement. "Doctors had told me to stay off my feet for a bit and now I'm following their rehab program. I intend to be back better and stronger."

Hill, who is married to Tim McGraw, has won numerous honors including Grammy, Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music awards. Her hits include "This Kiss," "Breathe" and "Mississippi Girl."
