Buzz Briefs: Elisabeth Hasselbeck, O.J.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Goes On Maternity Leave

The spotlight was supposed to be on Elisabeth Hasselbeck as she spent her last day on "The View" before taking maternity leave.

But the attention was drawn to one of the several pregnant women in the audience when her water broke just before the show started.

Hasselbeck says she and Barbara Walters were mopping it up, but not Whoopi Goldberg. She says she doesn't "mop any floors."

Hasselbeck will be gone until January to have her second baby. She's flying to Arizona to be with her husband, Tim, who's a quarterback for the Cardinals.

They also have a 2 1/2-year-old daughter, Grace.

Garrison Keillor Gets Restraining Order Against Alleged Stalker

Author and radio host Garrison Keillor has gotten a restraining order against a Georgia woman he claims has sent him explicit e-mails, telephone calls and disturbing gifts, including a petrified alligator foot and dead beetles. Keillor claimed in court papers that the harassment started April 28, after Campbell attended a live performance of his public radio show, "A Prairie Home Companion," in Columbus, Ga.

Keillor's filing said the e-mails and letters were often "disturbing, unintelligible and rambling," and in one, Campbell "graphically described making love to me."

He also alleged Campbell showed up at his home in St. Paul in July.

Campbell denied the allegations in a telephone interview with the St. Paul Pioneer Press. She said she only wanted to show her gratitude for Keillor's work.

Mariah Carey Not A Big Perfume Fan, Until She Designed Her Own

5Mariah Carey says she's never been much of a perfume fan, but that hasn't stopped her from designing her own signature fragrance. Carey tells The Associated Press, "This is the first fragrance that I wear. I'm not really a perfume person at all ... Things that are too strong and overwhelming, that's what I was always not a fan of." Carey says she was involved in every detail of the creation of the fragrance, which is a combination of Moroccan incense; a flower called the Living Tahitian Tiare and toasted marshmallows. The singer says the marshmallows bring back happy memories from her childhood.

Paul McCartney Gets Inspiration From Cell Phone

The title of Paul McCartney's new album, "Memory Almost Full," was inspired by a cautionary message on his cell phone. He said, "It seemed symbolic of our lives today. Your messages are always full. And your mind is full. And it doesn't matter if you're my age or 20. I think that we all need to delete stuff every so often."
