A Baby On The Way For Dixie Chick Martie Maguire

Dixie Chick Martie Maguire is pregnant.

She tells People magazine she's expecting a girl. She says she's very excited about the new baby. The 38-year-old and her husband already have twin girls who were born in April 2004. She jokes "Carrying one instead of two will be much easier." She says she feels good now, but admits she had a rough start.

Wesley Snipes' Defense Rests In Actor's Tax Fraud Case

2The defense has unexpectedly rested in the tax fraud trial of Wesley Snipes in Florida.

Snipes and two co-defendants are charged in an eight-count indictment that could put the actor in prison for up to 16 years. He allegedly stopped filing federal tax returns, then started demanding back some 11 million dollars in taxes previously paid.

Snipes' attorneys say he was the victim of unscrupulous tax advisers.

Closing arguments are scheduled for tomorrow.

Jimmy Page Ready To Take Led Zeppelin On World Tour

3Guitarist Jimmy Page says he's ready to take Led Zeppelin on tour.

Don't rush out to buy tickets yet -- it probably won't be before September.

That's because singer Robert Plant is doing a world tour with bluegrass musician Alison Krauss. They've already announced some dates in the U.S. and in Europe, but the rest of the North American tour will probably be in June and July.

Page says the amount of work they put into their reunion show in December in London was what they would normally put into a world tour anyway.

That show featured Page, Plant, bassist-keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer Jason Bonham, son of late drummer John Bonham.

Page says the London show is proof that Led Zeppelin can still perform at its best, and he says they're ready musically to take the band out on a wider run.

Page made the announcement in Tokyo, where he was promoting the new Led Zeppelin release "Mothership."

George Strait Reschedules Three Shows

4George Strait has had to bail out on three shows after coming down with laryngitis.

He started suffering vocal problems Thursday night while getting ready to perform in Jacksonville, Florida. Sarah Johns and Little Big Town went on with the show, but Strait was unable to perform. He also had to postpone Friday's show in Columbia, South Carolina, and a weekend show set for Baltimore. All three concerts have been rescheduled.

The Baltimore show is now set for Friday, April 4th, while the South Carolina and Florida shows have been rescheduled to Saturday, April 5th, and Sunday, April 6th, respectively.

Billy Currington ready to make music again

5After spending the past six months undergoing intensive therapy for anger issues resulting from childhood abuse, Billy Currington says he's ready to return to his music career.

He tells the Nashville Tennessean he feels better than ever. Currington worked with two therapists in Hawaii that specialize in childhood trauma. He says "It was very intensive and I wouldn't trade it for the world."

He says before therapy his life was "in an unhealthy place," and that he feels fortunate that he was "able to take that short break and look at my inner self and begin a journey to fix what I felt was broken." Currington says he's not a different person, just "a better person all around."

Currington says he's working on his next album and will begin touring in May.

Joe Nichols' Wife Suffers Miscarriage

Some sad news from country singer Joe Nichols and his wife.

Nichols says she suffered a miscarriage last week. In a posting on his Web site, Nichols writes that Heather was in the early stages of pregnancy and they found out last Tuesday that she'd lost the baby. He says "We are doing well, and I just want to say again how much we both appreciate all of you." The couple were married in September.
