Bungee jump gets close and personal perspective (and is also totally hilarious)

(CBS News) Many birthdays tend to have a significance to them. For example, 16 tends to be associated with driving in the United States. 18 means you are legally an adult almost everywhere. 21 tends to be... well, accompanied by a headache the morning after the birthday. And 23 is when you go bungee jumping. What's that? You don't recognize the last one mentioned. (Seriously?) Well, then watch the video above to live it out vicariously. (And hilariously!) I'd recommend watching in high-definition and things don't really kick into gear until about 3:00 minutes into it.

Honestly, are those not some of the best expressions on a face you've ever seen in the history of ever? I, for one, couldn't stop laughing once she jumped! The very close and personal perspective, bungee jumping video was posted on YouTube by Kailey Stevens who writes about it:

Turn up the volume!!! Bungee jumping 220m (721ft) off the Verzasca Dam in the Italian part of Switzerland. James Bond 007 style! This video was taken with a GoPro* strapped to my wrist so you can see first hand what I was thinking and feeling. This is the scariest thing I have [ever] and probably will ever do (by choice) Video [taken] May 25th, 2013 on my 23rd birthday!

A big triple-rainbow salute of epic extreme awesomeness (and a happy 23rd birthday!) goes out to Kailey Stevens from all of us here at The Feed for showing a sense of adventure and humor by sharing this unique perspective and experience with us and the world through the Internet!

UPDATE: Our intrepid, bungee-jumping adventurer in the video above appears to have posted a comment on our post (woo hoo!) and writes: "Let me just say... it was terrifying!! But so worth it!" And now let me just say that we are all totally jealous and so very happy to hear from you, Kailey!
