Buffett to sell jewelry at Berkshire meeting

OMAHA, Neb. - Berkshire Hathaway Inc. CEO Warren Buffett hopes to boost sales at the company's Borsheims jewelry store by working the sales floor during the annual shareholder weekend.

Buffett says he plans to work the sales floor at Borsheims for part of the afternoon of May 1 to prove his sales skills during the shareholder meeting.

Berkshire's annual meeting will be held at the Qwest Center Omaha on April 30, and more than 30,000 people attend the meeting and related events.

In his annual letter to shareholders, Buffett encouraged his investors to help make him look good by buying from him that Sunday.

Borsheims President and CEO Susan Jacques says she's sure Buffett will set sales records within minutes on the floor.
