Buddhism Online
There is a very real Buddhist presence on the Internet, and an abundance of links to Buddhism are catalogued on the WWW Virtual Library. One section of the "Facets of Religion" site collects Buddhist sources for ancient texts, critical studies, sects, and individual temples.
For newcomers, there is "Fundamental Buddhism Explained," which provides a framework based on the Pali Canon, recognized by Buddhist scholars as the oldest surviving written record of what the Buddha actually said and taught. The Journal of Buddhist Ethics is another well-organized and scholarly site which houses an extensive list of global resources for Buddhist Studies.
