Bruins Sign Holdout Carter


Anson Carter has ended his holdout and come to terms on a two-year deal with the Boston Bruins, the club announced Thursday. Terms were not announced.

Carter missed the first 12 games of the regular season.

He had been playing for the Utah Grizzlies of the International Hockey League, but was expected to be back in Boston for Thursday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Forum: How important is Carter to the Bruins?

In his first full season with the Bruins, the 24-year-old Carter last season had 16 goals and 27 assists in 78 games for a career-high 43 points.

The Bruins only remaining holdout is defenseman Kyle McLaren.
