Bruce Beresford-Redman Update: Sell These Cars in Exchange for Interview, Says Dad
NEW YORK (CBS/AP) After former reality TV producer Bruce Beresford-Redman's motion to dismiss his arrest warrant for the murder of his wife, Monica, was denied, his father made an unorthodox appeal to the scrum of news cameras outside the courthouse in Los Angeles Tuesday: buy my son's cars, get an interview.

According to CNN, the elder Beresford-Redman reportedly handed out sheets of paper with descriptions of the three cars in question, a 2003 Porsche Targa, a 1998 Mercedes-Benz SL Roadster, and a 2004 Chevy Suburban, saying that the first news organization that finds him a buyer for all three gets an exclusive interview with his son.
David Beresford-Redman said that every cent of the $56,000 asking price for the cars would go to his grandchildren. "They are part of the estate," he told reporters, according to the station.
The unusual appeal came after a federal judge on Tuesday rejected Bruce Beresford-Redman's request to dismiss the case on grounds that his detention on a fugitive warrant was unconstitutional.
Beresford-Redman is charged with aggravated homicide in Mexico, where authorities say he killed his wife during an April argument at a Cancun hotel room they shared with their young children.
Beresford-Redman, who was a producer on "Survivor" and a co-creator of the MTV show "Pimp My Ride," has said he is innocent, but has not yet entered a formal plea.
