Britney Spears' New Single Released

NEW YORK (CBS) The wait is over for Britney Spears fans.

The pop star has released her new single, "Hold It Against Me."

Spears unveiled the song ahead of schedule on Monday. "Don't #HOLDITAGAINSTME for coming out early. I couldn't wait any longer," she wrote on Twitter. "Hope you don't mind."

The tune's official release came Tuesday.

"Hold It Against Me" is the first single off Spears' forthcoming album, scheduled for a March release.
