Boy, 4, calls 911 to say he’s hungry; mother gets arrested

BRISTOW, Va. - A 4-year-old boy waiting for his mother to come home called 9-1-1 after he got hungry, police in Bristow, Va. said.  But authorities say it wasn't just a complaint from a kid who wanted a snack.

According to CBS affiliate WUSA, the child's call came in to police Thursday morning, and when they went to the house, they found the boy alone and hungry.

They arrested the mother, Love Sonia Altagracia Polanco Franklin, 43 and charged her with felony child neglect, police said.

Police said Franklin left her son home alone for two hours, WUSA reported.

She was released and is awaiting her court date.
