NEW YORK (CBS) The battle of the box office this holiday weekend will come down to a matter of preference: shirtless men or Manolo Blahniks?

"Sex and the City 2" and its four well-dressed leading ladies, on a jaunt to Abu Dhabi, will face off against Jake Gyllenhaal as an action hero in "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time."

"Sex," which debuted in theaters on Thursday, brings Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) on a lavish vacation in Abu Dhabi, where couture gowns and fabulous shoes meet the exotic landscape of the desert.

Deserts also play a major role in "Prince of Persia." Gyllenhaal plays Dastan, a street urchin living in the Persian Empire in the sixth century. He is adopted by the king to become air to the throne, and must team up with Princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton) to prevent the evil Nizam (Ben Kingsley) from conjuring up a sandstorm that could destroy the world.

So, who is hotter - a scantily-clad Gyllenhaal, or the "Sex and the City" ladies in desert chic? And, more importantly, which of the two films will you be seeing this weekend?
